Related Student Organizations

The Department of Political Science, Public Administration and Economics encourages its students to become involved in student organizations related to their majors, including the following:

The Association of Political Science (TAPS) – All political science majors and students who minor in political science are eligible for membership. The Association of Political Science (TAPS) has a long history of activism through service to the campus community and the community at large.

The Public Administration Club (PAC) – This club is open to all political science majors and students who minor in public administration.

Pi Sigma Alpha, Kappa Psi Chapter is the VSU chapter of the National Political Honors Society. This is the only honor society for college students of political science and government, with over 740 chapters located on college and university campuses in every state of the United States and one in Canada.

Pi Alpha Alpha, the National Honor Society for Public Affairs and Administration, is dedicated to the advancement of education, training, and research in public policy and administration.

Omicron Delta Epsilon is the International Honor Society for Economics. Membership is open to all economics majors with a minimum grade point average of 3.0.

The Pre-Law Society is open to all students across the University who are interested in pursuing a career in law.
