Student Opportunities

Our Students Have Many Opportunities for Art Exploration

The Richmond Metro area has a rich community of artists, as well as many art venues for our students to explore, from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts to many diverse smaller galleries. There are also many art-related festivals such as the annual Richmond Folk Festival, as well as regular art events like Friday for the Arts in Petersburg and First Fridays in downtown Richmond. We are also just a short drive away from the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C. and other galleries in the Baltimore and D.C. areas.

Our students take field trips to places like the National Gallery, and have the opportunity to work as interns at museums and businesses in major markets such as D.C. and New York City. In the Richymond area, our students have interned at places such as Sycamore Rouge Theatre, New Millennium Studios and Richmond Magazine.
